Custom tattoo information:
A 30-min consultation is required before booking for your custom tattoo of your own ideas if I haven't created your design as of yet. This is so we can make sure that we are both on the same page and that I have all the details needed to create the piece that will resonate with you. Alternatively, if you wish to skip the consultation process, you'll be ultimately granting me free artistic reign and any excessive changes from the concept sketch would require to be charged.A small fee of R200 is required to secure your consultation appointment. The paid consultation fee then contributes to the tattooing fee that is determined on the day of consulting.> Failing to show up or cancelling with less than 48 hour's notice will result in forfeiting the paid fee and a new consultation fee will be required to reschedule.
> Consultation fees are non-refundable.After the consultation, your full tattooing fee will be determined based on the complexity of your piece. It is a flat fee instead of an hourly fee that most tattoo artists use. The complexity is based on specific design tiers that will be explained to you during your consultation.In the event that you have first commissioned me separately for a design from the Lumichen.Art side, your quote will be adjusted accordingly to balance everything out.A 50% upfront payment of your tattoo quote is required within 48 hours of making the booking to secure your appointment. It can be made on the day through card payments/cash or EFT. If no POP has been received after the 48-hour window, it is assumed that you are no longer interested and your appointment will unfortunately be cancelled.Tattoo quotes are only valid for 6 months.A consultation confirmation email will be sent to you to give you an opportunity to send through any extra descriptions or references that you'd like me to be aware of.> There is a 24-hour window to respond to this email to let me know if everything is good to go or if there is anything you want to add/change to your concept.> If no response has been received after the 24-hour window, it is assumed that everything is confirmed and we can proceed.> Please note that any drastic changes and/or additions after the confirmation given will require additional charge to your rate.
Design work terms and conditions:
Areas I do not tattoo:
> Intimates (anything related to genitals, glutes or nipple area)
> Feet (Soles and anything below the ankle)
> Hands (Palms, fingers and anything below the wrist)
> Face and head
No design work will be sent without proof of 50% upfront payment or design fee.
You’ll be receiving a concept sketch based off your idea that you have given me at least 5 days prior to your appointment. (Standard tier and up)
All major changes can be made during this step only (only element changes allowed… Any ADDITIONS that are not described in your concept description you have given me during consult will require additional charge).
After you have given the approval of the concept, any major changes desired after will require extra charge so please be sure that the chosen concept is 100% confirmed.
If no response has been given after 2 days of sent concept, it is assumed that the concept is accepted and the design process will be continued.
A pre-final preview will be sent to you for final approval 24 hours prior to your appointment.
You may only make small detail changes to the pre-final piece if it is given 12 hours prior to your appointment.
If no response is given 12 hours prior to your appointment, it is assumed the design is accepted.
No design changes will be allowed on the day.
All design concepts rejected by the client prior to the pre-final piece belongs to me unless the client specifies otherwise and it has been discussed with me. It is the client's responsibility to bring up this point.
The tattooed design belongs to the client solely to be tattooed on said-client. Any parties involved in the designing of the piece are prohibited from reusing the design for any sort of commercial purposes.
Cancellation/rescheduling/refund policy
Rescheduling and postponement must be done at least 72 hours in advance from your tattoo appointment (unless in the case of an emergency) to avoid losing your deposit.
Failure to comply would result in the loss of your deposit and a new deposit will be required to reschedule.
Consultation fees are non-refundable.

The 50% upfront payment is refundable only if:
> 24 hours have not passed since the payment is made.
> I have not send you the first sketch concept just yet and you have changed your mind
> For personal reasons, I am unable to complete the tattooThe 50% upfront payment is NOT refundable if:
- 24 hours have passed since the deposit is made.
- I have already started and sent you the first sketch concept
- You are late after 15 min from your appointment time without notice.
- You have forgotten your appointment.
General terms and conditions
Regrettably, only 1 extra companion can be present in the studio. Any extra companions will be asked to wait outside the studio. There is a patio seating area outside the building where you can hang out.
Strictly no infants or children are allowed in the studio room. If you cannot find someone to supervise your child, we will need to reschedule your appointment.
Next door to Sunninghill Business Village as well as Chilli Lane Shopping Center (Less than 5 min away) has plenty of amenities to occupy your accompaniments with selected stores, cafes and restaurants.
Should unforeseen delays arise, please notify me promptly via whatsapp or phonecall. Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes without notice will result in forfeiting your deposit and require a rescheduling. No-shows will also result in fofeiting your deposit.
GATE CALLS WILL ONLY BE ANSWERED AS EARLY AS 10 MIN BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT AS THE STUDIO IS NOT OPENED YET OR I AM STILL BUSY WITH THE CLIENT BEFORE YOU.
If you find yourself more than 20 min early for your appointment, the gate intercom will not be answered. Please wait at the next door shopping center parking until 10 min before your appointment.
Please respect the studio as a calm and inclusive environment.
In the event of late arrival, last minute design changes, indecisiveness, fear or fussiness, you will be billed extra by the half-hour on the time run over from the allocated time slot into the final balance.
Open drinks or meals are not permitted in the workspace, but water or enclosed beverages are welcome. Any food brought must be eaten outside the workspace.
If you are feeling sick, please look after yourself first and message to reschedule. The results of your tattoo healing really depend on a healthy immune system as well as to protect from contaminating and infecting others in the space.
Touch ups are free within 6 months based on the artist's discretion. (White ink and tattoos below the wrist, below the ankle and above the collarbone are not eligble for free touch-ups.)
Any tattoo vouchers provided by Lumichen.Art or Lumi.Inks have a validity of 1 year from the day of purchase. They are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any remaining amount from the used voucher is not eligible for credit should the tattoo cost less than the voucher.
Disclaimers
Lumi and all associated personnel in the employ of, or directly involved within the legal buisness entity of, Lumichen.art and Lumi.inks (henceforth referred to as associates) shall not be held liable for any personal injury, accidents or deaths sustained within the studio premises or surroundings and all clients must therefore accept that they enter at their own risk.
Clients are solely responsible for safeguarding their own personal belongings and/or any items brought in or carried by said client onto studio premises.
Lumi and associates are not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to any item brought into the studio.
The information, suggestions or advice provided, express or implied, by Lumi or associates is for general information purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical and/or legal advice.
It is therefore the responsibility of clients to ensure that they are properly informed of any and all potential risks or complications that may occur as a result of the procedures and services rendered by Lumi and associates.
Lumi and associates take no responsibility for injuries or health complications (such as infections, scarring et cetera) caused by the behaviour of clients before or after a session, this includes but is not limited to pre-existing health conditions, substance abuse, self harm due to mental instability or negligence in proper self treatment or hygiene.
In the event of an unforeseen complication resulting from the aftermath of a procedure, negligence on the behalf of a client or for any other reason, it is the sole responsibility of the client to seek professional medical advice or attention.
Lumi and associates will not be held accountable for the actions, products or services provided by third parties, contractors or advisors affiliated with, but not within the employ of, Lumichen.inks or Lumichen.art.
Lumi and associates reserve the rights to refuse booking or deny admission at any point for any reason.
Lumi and associates will not be held accountable for any legal fees, medical expenses or any other liability costs pertaining to cases highlighted within the information stipulated above.
By making any bookings, payments to lumichen.art and lumi.inks and entering the studio workspace, you agree to the Terms and Conditions as listed by Lumichen.Art and related parties.
